The Bible says that,”we can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)

I’m a dreamer and a planner at heart, so lets just say that I tend to get a little frustrated when my plans get interrupted or don’t go the way I was hoping.

I’ve also been a Christian since my teens and the longer I walk with God the more I learn that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways our not our ways. (Isaiah 55:8) Sometimes He will interrupt our plans and force us to focus on what really matters.

During these recent months of being in quarantine and not being able to do the things I want to do or go where I want to go, I’m learning that some of the things that I thought were important aren’t really that important. I’m learning how precious our families and friendships are and how we shouldn’t take them for granted. I’m learning that if God has blessed you where you can reach out and help someone else in need that you should.

I’m also learning that God gives us dreams and desires that only He can fulfill and sometimes we have to take our hands off the pen and let Him write the story.
